I'm the Founder and CEO of 100 Tribes in New York City. I also advise select early-stage companies on product, marketing and community strategies.
Previously, I was Founder and CEO of Trunkt, a wholesale marketplace that was acquired by Etsy. I joined Etsy as Founder and GM of Etsy Wholesale and built the founding team, launched the beta product and established landmark partnerships with Nordstrom and West Elm.
Prior to Etsy and Trunkt, I was founder and CEO of Foliomo, a marketplace for freelance visual artists which was acquired by a competitor. Prior to Foliomo, I was founder and CEO of Tangerine Tribe, a product development consultancy with global Fortune 500 clients.
My early career was in advertising and television. I started at ad agencies developing global brand strategies for clients including Apple, Pentax, Rollerblade and HP. After earning my MBA in a joint program at the business and film schools at NYU, I developed digital television strategies at NBC News and then at Hallmark Channel where I led the video on demand business unit.
I live with my wife and daughters in Lower Manhattan and, as an avid street photographer, daydream about wandering the streets of other interesting cities around the world. Connect with me on LinkedIn or Twitter.
